So I went to see Hot and Bothered: Feminist Pornography on Saturday night. First off it took me too long to get there. I seldomly have a need to go anyplace north of Wrigley Field - Chicago is funny because when you go into different neighborhoods it’s like you’re in a different world sometimes LOL - anyways, The Leather Archives & Museum is in Rogers Park and I am not familiar with that area because it’s too far north.

I finally get there with enough time left to go downstairs and check out what they have in the museum. Lots of pictures, poster, clothing, periodicals, and so on but you know what I wanted to see - the dungeon! I must admit I was a little disappointed, what I was expecting and what was actually there were two different things. I did get some pictures (which I will post sometime this week) of some barbaric looking chastity devices.

Ok, back to the movie - it was a documentary and I’m not a big documentary fan but I wanted to see it because of the topic. She interviewed some of the main women behind feminist porn which you can see there. There were some funny parts as well, like when Tristan Taormino was out shopping for somebody to back her movie Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women.

These women are in the industry to make porn better for women. I’m all for making anything better for women, including anything in the adult industry. It’s about time that someone shed some light on this topic. Overall it was nicely done but I wouldn’t rush out to buy the dvd.

Oh, I was doing a bit of my own research yesterday on Nina Hartley. I noticed her new movie: ‘O - The Power of Submission’ which looked interesting to me so I downloaded the movie. If you click on the link to Nina’s page and scroll down a bit - on the left hand side there is a banner that says “Holy Cow” and if you click on that then you get one free download rental
